For example, My heroine in "Silver Screen Heroes" sees her parents and brother who were killed in the San Francisco earthquake at her darkest hour.Ilona Fridlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4841166549891168116.post-3908593613012460162012-02-16T19:32:53.799-08:002012-02-16T19:32:53.799-08:00Thanks so much for being here today, Suzanne. The story would include such creatures as shapeshifters, angels, demons, spirits and the like. Straight fantasy would be magic, wizards, time travel (perhaps) and fantastic creatures. There can be a lot of crossover. To me, it's all fantasy. The world you build depends on if the fantasy/paranormal elements are on Earth, the way we know it (or knew it from history), or whether you have a different world entirely. I often use an Earth-like setting with the fantastic elements woven in. In "Clash of Wills," for example, the story begins much like a Regency, but when Princess Samantha battles a mud demon you KNOW the world is quite different.Suzanne G. Does one need to mentally build a magical world to fall into this genre?Vonnie Davis ~ Romance Authorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07360480832587538895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4841166549891168116.post-60535392056961283792012-02-16T12:36:17.811-08:002012-02-16T12:36:17.811-08:00I'll take fantasy!
