Six Sentence Sunday: The Villain

Welcome to this week's Six Sentence Sunday.  Here a six sentences from my debut romantic suspense, Beneath the Surface. The villain makes his first appearance in this scene.

The man smiled from his perch on the rented cruiser as it bobbed in the current. He tucked his binoculars into their leather case and snapped the lid shut. He’d enjoyed the show, but not the ending.

Only two of them had been on the craft. And they’d been taken away in ambulances instead of body bags. He adjusted his baggy fishing hat.

I like it! Lots of intrigue :-) The ending seemed pretty bad (to me) but apparently not bad enough for someone?

That was so spooky I shivered. Love it!

@Teresa: LOL that the ending/explosion wasn't good enough for the villain. Yep, you're right. :)

@Lisa: Awesome! So glad I creeped you out. (LOL, only suspense writers can say that and get away with it, right?)

@Kate: Oooh, now that's a high compliment to the villain if he made you shiver. Thanks for stopping by. :)
