Please welcome author Erin Pryor, whose book PILLARS IN TIME, published by Decadent Publishing, is now available! Great to have you here today, Erin. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’ve been married for 12 years, and am a mother to an eight year old girl and a four year old boy. I’ve been writing for about 3 years now. I started out by writing Fan Fiction, then I went to my first RWA meeting in January of 2010. I got so much out of it, I immediately signed up and have been going ever since.
I have to agree with that! Local RWA meetings are the best!
What inspired you to write a time travel/historical romance?
I always thought “what if” as far as Time Travel is concerned and always wanted to succeed in the world of Romance with a good Time Travel book.
You’re a romance writer, too. Just curious…what’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?
Oh, gosh, being married 12 years there are a lot of “romantic things” I’ve done. But, if I were to choose one thing, it would be the time that my husband and I went to Hawaii for a week. On our last full day there, we rented a Jeep, put the top down, and drove around the entire island (Oahu). We went snorkeling, and stopped by North Shore to watch the surfers. It was a beautiful/romantic day.
Ohh wow. That sounds absolutely gorgeous…and very romantic.
How about your ideal writing day? What might that be like?
Honestly, I can really write anywhere, except for the fact that I don’t wish to write at home. With the kiddos always on my heels, I can’t seem to get a coherent thought onto paper while I have them constantly saying “Mommy” this and “Mommy” that. The most consistent places I’ve gone to write is coffee shops (i.e. Starbucks or Coffee Bean) or the library.
Well, you’re not alone in that! Coffee and writing seem to go together. How about music? Do you ever use music to inspire your writing?
Absolutely. I always listen to music when I write. But, depending on the scene/setting, and the “moment” is how I chose what to listen to. I pick anything between Kutless, Skillett, Lorena McKennitt, and Sarah McLaughlin. So, literally ranging everything from hard to soft.
Wow, that’s quite a mix of genres. Sounds like music for every mood. Congratulations on this release, Erin. Anything else you’d like everyone to know about you or your book?
I hope people enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing it. A fun little fact that the majority of people don’t know about me is I live with BiPolar. Being creative is literally an essential part of me. How I live my life is I chose to let people know of the disease I live with. It is part of me, and who I am, and I don’t apologize for it, I embrace it. I try and be a role model to others living with my disease and showing them through my book, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
That’s a wonderful, and very positive attitude and message, Erin. Good for you! Thanks for stopping by to chat today and best wishes for continued success.

Here’s the blurb for PILLARS IN TIME and check out this beautiful cover, too!
Determination is Cadence Hamilton’s middle name. She sets her sights on a lofty goal in a man’s profession: to be the most sought after architect on the West Coast. When she hears of the chance to draft the renovation of a 14th Century Scottish castle, she jumps at her dream job…never expecting to be whisked away to the century itself.

Nicholas Kincaid, sole heir to Dunmaben castle, is in a horrible predicament: marry or forfeit his lands. But the woman who visits his dreams keeps him from falling into wedded bliss. With the clock ticking, he follows duty to marry to avoid losing his beloved home and will do whatever it takes to ensure the security and safety for all, both in and outside of his walls. Except the woman, who beholds secrets he seeks, becomes his distraction….

Neither Nicholas nor Cadence anticipates the threats close to home, or the lives that will be lost in the process. As their relationship is tested and unknown enemies revealed, will their love conquer all? Even the boundary of time?

If I could I would time travel to meet my ancestors in Ireland, England and Scotland. I guess it would be the early 1800 before they started coming to the USA. Carin
