In honor of Mother’s Day, I thought
I’d share a scene from Beneath the Surface, my debut romance, where Brooke and
Garrett go to his mom’s pizzeria.
Hope this makes you hungry! (And guess what I told my family I want for Mother's Day dinner?)
Brooke glanced around the restaurant and spotted pizza in various forms—everything from standard pepperoni to what looked like macaroni and cheese on a pizza. As Garrett placed a soda in front of her, the only thing stronger than her hunger pangs was the heat of his hand when he touched her arm.

She blinked and caught her breath. Garrett epitomized masculinity.
Everything he did—driving the Amigo, riding a motorcycle, building his own deck. Yet he couldn’t have
looked sexier than he did right now as he carried two bowls of salad.

It did indeed make me hungry. Alas we had pizza yesterday so I doubt my husband would agree to it again today. Nice setting, and the part about him looking so hot carrying the salad was good.
