Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday:
Where writers share six sentences from their published or unpublished books.
What is it about a thunderstorm? So electric, so passionate. A great background for making love. There's a storm brewing (in more than one way) in these six sentences from my debut novel, BENEATH THE SURFACE.
The search might take longer without Brooke, but it
could be done.
Rain beat strong and heavy against the bedroom
window panes. Brooke moaned in her sleep and pressed against him. No, she
wouldn’t admit she needed protection. But he had to admit it for both of them.
For now, he buried his head in her hair, and let himself fall asleep to the
soft fruity smell of her shampoo.

@Janice-Great! So glad you felt the mood. :)
Thunderstorms and sex. Really, you can't go wrong!
LOL, Tonya! I agree. :)
Nice six, Joya. I like that in a thunderstorm scene, she thinks about needing protection--though the two aren't necessarily related. But it does seem to speak to a common thread among people. :-)
Nice! But I have to admit, you had me at the title of this six.
Now that is sexy!
Lovely scene, I can imagine them cuddled up next to each other.

Love the feel of this!

@Teresa-Good point. You're so right about storms and protection being a common thread.
