More Photos! Residents Save Their Spots for July 4th Parade

Some more July 4th fun! Last night’s winds and severe thunderstorm caused some disarray along the parade route. Here are some more photos (compliments of my wonderful hubby who went out early this morning to take them) of how things look along the parade route today.
This small-town tradition of staking a spot two weeks in advance of the parade inspired a scene in my story, LOVE DELIVERED.

Uh oh...last night's winds caused some chairs to
rearrange themselves.

Thanks for stopping by! Check back every day between
now and July 4th for updates.

Love these photos, Joya. Like a blast from the past. I grew up in a small town north of Boston and remember these days. Now though, not a lot of staking out sidewalk spots in Phoenix in July, which I consider a shame. It's just too damned hot here for summer parades, but we kick ass for Christmas! LOL On the 4th, we head out just before dark to find a spot along a local canal, where we can watch fireworks from the three cities surrounding us.

Hi ya, Mac! Very cool that your small town north of Boston held a parade. They're the best, aren't they? Enjoy the fireworks from the canal--sounds fabulous to see three cities worth of fireworks. :)
