   The Justice of the Peace winked. "I pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss your bride."  
   Wait. What?
   Russ’s brows furrowed for a quick second.
   Shit.
   Her eyes widened and her breath caught in her throat. They had to do it. Annabelle and her father would be expecting it.
   Russ leaned forward, grasped the nape of her neck in his hand, and tugged her close. His lips met hers, firm, and yet yielding. Molten liquid spread from her chest to the tips of her toes and her heart beat triple time. He eased his tongue between her lips, deepening the kiss, and her legs weakened. Her mind went blank and her body took over, responding to him, drinking him in.
   The Justice of the Peace cleared his throat and Annabelle whispered, "Yuck."
   That was enough to break the spell. They parted, leaving only inches between them. She gazed into his eyes and saw her own desire reflected back.
   She licked her lips, tasting him.
   No. My body did not just respond to him like that. Friends didn’t affect each other like that when they kissed. Had to be the heat of the moment. Who wouldn’t get caught up in a kiss at a wedding?
Heck, even the guests at weddings usually got caught up in the romance. That was it.
   Breathe, damn it. Breathe.
   She took a deep breath.

Valentine's Day Cover Reveal: Forever's Promise

What better day to reveal a new cover than the one devoted to love? I'm thrilled to announce that Forever's Promise, a marriage of convenience novella, will release on February 27th!
